History
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Abu Dhabi was constructed from 1996 to 2007. It was designed by Syrian architect Yousef Abdelky. The buildings measurement is approximately 290 by 420 m (950 by 1,380 ft), The project was launch by the late president of the (UAE), Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who establish a structure that would unite the cultural diversity of the Islamic world which includes historical and modern standards of architecture and art.
