Al Aqah Beach Fujairah, In 1952 the Emirate of Fujairah enter into relations with Britain, becoming the last of the emirates to join the Trucial States. This recognition for over fifty years of the British government only granted it because the oil searching company Petroleum Concessions Limited (PCL) needed to sign a concession with a recognized ruler. On 2 December 1971, The Emirate of Fujairah attached the United Arab Emirates.
Al Aqah is situated in the Emirate of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates. The area is situated 50 km (31 mi) north of the city of Fujairah and directly overlooks the Gulf of Oman. The people of Al Aqah were well-known for their many skills, the most important for sea-riding, fishing, and honey collection from the mountain in addition to agriculture and livestock.
