History
Spot Flamingos at Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary – Dubai Ras Al Khor is closely monitored and guarded by the Dubai Municipality and also the sanctuary is fenced off to safeguard the realm. However, there are three bird hides located on the perimeter of the sanctuary which is free for the general public to access during set sunlight hours.
Information
It’s hard to believe you’ll find tens of thousands of birds during a spot so near town. This expansive wetland reserve also is a piece of land annually for crustaceans, mammals, and fish, but it’s the flamingos that steal the show in winter. Look closer among the mass of pink feathers and you would possibly spot grey herons, great egrets, reef herons, cormorants, black-winged stilts, sandpipers, osprey then rather more.
